Several former Trump White House officials have been contacted by the Department of Justice for information about the Trump administration’s actions and inaction during the January 6 attack on the US Capitol and in the last days of the Trump presidency. 

Two top aides to former Vice President Mike Pence have already testified in front of a grand jury regarding Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

Pence’s former chief of staff, Marc Short, testified last week. Greg Jacob, former chief counsel for Pence testified weeks ago. 

It appears that the Justice Department is digging deeper in its investigations, and is following in the footsteps of the House Committee to Investigate the January 6 Attack on the Capitol, that has been holding public live hearings for weeks.
