Titanic becomes the first film to gross $1 billion
James Cameron’s epic account of the sinking of the Titanic had a budget of $ 200 million and grossed over $ 2 billion in the end.

Internet giant Yahoo! is incorporated
Yahoo! was incorporated on March 2, 1995, by founders Jerry Yang and David Filo. The company was initially created as a directory of websites but rapidly expanded its services to become one of the leading internet giants of the late 1990s and early 2000s.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is formed
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) was established to promote international monetary cooperation, international trade, high employment, and sustainable economic growth, while reducing global poverty. It was officially formed on December 27, 1945, under the Bretton Woods Agreement, which was signed by 44 allied nations during a conference in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire, USA, in July 1944. The purpose of the IMF was to address the global economic challenges that arose from the Great Depression and the two World Wars.

Henri Becquerel discovers radioactivity
Henri Becquerel, a French physicist, is indeed credited with the discovery of radioactivity in 1896. He made this groundbreaking discovery accidentally while studying phosphorescence in minerals. Becquerel was investigating the properties of a uranium-containing mineral called pitchblende, which he believed was emitting a mysterious form of radiation.
