Amazon.com Inc said Thursday that it is getting deeper into the health care industry. It agreed to buy One Medical, a primary care provider for $3.49 billion. Amazon already offers virtual care visits for its own employees and other employers under its brand, Amazon Care.
The deal was all-cash.
In 2018, Amazon bought an online pharmacy called Pill Pack and works with Teladoc Health, a virtual tool for connecting people to doctors using Alexa.
