People are waiting to find out if Donald Trump is planning to run for the presidency in 2024. He has been teasing about it for a long time.
According to Axios, the former president is tentatively planning to announce his presidential campaign right after the midterm elections, in mid-November.
According to people who are familiar with Trump’s deliberations, and speaking anonymously to media, Trump will probably make his announcement the week of November 14, although that could change.
Trump has been talking about a White House run at campaign rallies across the country, and he recently told crowd attendees that they would be “very happy” with his decision.

An announcement at this time could discourage other contenders from challenging him as the party’s nominee.
Trump is facing several federal and state investigations, including ones related to his efforts to overturn the 2020 election, removing classified documents from the White House and allegedly obstructing efforts to retrieve them. The House of Representatives is still struggling to obtain his tax returns from during the period of his presidency. The House’s January 6 Committee has been exposing Trump’s conduct during the attack on the US Capitol in 2021.
According to Harvard law professor Laurence Tribe, who tweeted on Friday, “Plans are being made to disqualify Trump in 2024 if he runs. Section 3 of the 14th Amendment provides the path for doing so whether or not he’s criminally prosecuted for mounting an insurrection. Such prosecution isn’t a prerequisite.”
