video  has been circulating and getting lots of attention on social media, showing passengers aboard a Jetstar plane singing and cheering after a drunk woman was booted from a flight before takeoff at the Gold Coast Airport in Australia.

Watch the video here.

The woman, who was unnamed but identified as a 42-year-old from New South Wales, Australia, refused to leave the plane heading to Melbourne, despite several requests by the crew because of her offensive outbursts and chaotic behavior.

Crew members eventually called the Australian Federal Police, who physically escorted the woman off the plane.

The drunk woman had been causing a scene and making other passengers uncomfortable and refused to follow directions from the Jetstar staff.

A passenger on the plane recorded the incident and shared the video on the popular social platform TikTok. The video shows the moment the woman was forcibly removed from her seat by a federal officer.

As the officer marched the woman off the plane, other passengers cheered, clapped, and broke into the song, “Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye,” a 1969 hit by Steam. For the passengers and crew, and maybe the disorderly woman, it was a moment to remember.

A Jetstar spokesperson said that the safety of the airline’s customers and the crew was the airline’s priority and they have a zero-tolerance policy for disruptive behavior.

The woman was charged with disorderly conduct on an aircraft.

Instances of passengers being disruptive and troublesome on planes have increased significantly since the pandemic started, all over the world.

In August 2022, an Australian tourist was kicked off a Jetstar flight bound for Sydney from Phuket, Thailand. The woman wanted to sit next to the window, started insulting other passengers and had a physical fight with another woman because she couldn’t get her way. A flight attendant and two male passengers were able to separate the two before anyone got hurt. The entire plane then applauded after the troublemaker got off the plane.

In November 2022, a family of five got booted from a Qantas flight headed for Sydney from Bali after the father insulted the crew. The argument started after a flight attendant was supposedly rude to his wife and made some comments that were allegedly racially biased.

After the man insulted them, the flight crew decided to remove the family of five, which included three small children, all under the age of three.
