Former president and 2024 Republican hopeful nominee Donald Trump delivered an urgent warning that current President Joe Biden is pushing the world to the verge of World War III  and “oblivion.”

Trump posted on his social media network, Truth Social, “World War III is looming, like never before, in the very dark and murky background. ‘Leadership’ is solely responsible for this unprecedented danger to the USA, and likewise, the World. HOPELESS JOE BIDEN IS LEADING US INTO OBLIVION!!!” 

Trump has not clarified exactly what he feels President Biden is doing that could lead to another world war, but he frequently refers to “globalism” and “warmongers” as a severe danger to the United States.

At a campaign rally last month, Trump called Biden weak and incompetent. He said that if elected president again, he will “bring back peace through strength.”

He also said Democrats were “trying to indoctrinate and mutilate our children.” 

In the beginning of February, in a rebuke to Biden’s State of the Union message, Trump said in a recorded video what he called “the real state of the union.” Among other accusations, he accused Biden of bringing the world to the brink of nuclear catastrophe. 

According to the Washington Post and other media sources who have studied the foreign policy accomplishments of his single term, Trump’s track record on “world peace” is not everything it is “trumped up” to be.
