The coronation of the new King of England, King Charles III, will be held on May 6.
Everyone is wondering if Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, will be on the guest list.
The release of Prince Harry’s book “Spare” created quite a stir, but Buckingham Palace is back to business as usual, and they released details of what the world can expect during the coronation, which will be a three-day event.
There hasn’t been a coronation in 70 years. A lot has changed and the ceremony will reflect that.
The King will be crowned alongside Camilla, the Queen Consort.
The coronation is a religious event and will be held at Westminster Abbey in London. The weekend will be filled with celebrations of the historical event, and will include a concert, a grand luncheon, and an opportunity for volunteering.
The guest list will include family members and dignitaries from around the world.
With their controversial exit from the royal family, their gossipy Netflix documentary “Harry and Meghan,” and Prince Harry’s tell-all memoir, “Spare,” it is unclear whether Harry and Meghan will be welcomed to the ceremony, although it has been hinted that King Charles wants to include his second born son.
The King wants to reconcile with his son, even though Prince William appears to be resistant to it. In Prince Harry’s memoir, he talked about a physical fight with his brother, and accused Queen Consort Camilla of being “dangerous,” a “villain” and accused her of planting stories in the press to make herself look better, at the expense of others.
When asked whether he would attend the coronation, during an interview with ITV in January, Prince Harry said that a lot could happen between January and May, but he left that up to the palace.
