59-year-old Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt was reported to have successfully sold his California home, where he and Angelina Jolie raised their children, for $39 million.
The Los Feliz property was purchased in 1994 from actress Cassandra Peterson, better known as the horror icon Elvira, for $1.7 million. The actor was able to purchase neighboring lots which made the property a mega-mansion.
No public listings were made but it was reported that Pitt listed the property for sale off-market in January. He initially asked for around $40 million but ended up with a $39 million final price. Having paid $1.7 million, that’s a hefty profit.
The actor will reportedly move to a smaller property in Carmel in Northern California.
Pitt renovated and expanded the mansion when he first bought it. The main house measured 6,700 square feet and has five bedrooms and five bathrooms. It currently includes a skating rink, a tennis court, a swimming pool, and a ballroom.
Pitt’s LA house was home to Angelina and their six children, who lived with him until their divorce in 2016. Jolie bought another home nearby for $24.95 million and said that she wanted the children to still be close to their father.
