Former President Donald Trump, probably like any other married man having an affair, was concerned that his wife, Melania, would find out about his tryst with former porn star Stormy Daniels, which is allegedly one of the reasons he ordered the payment to keep her quiet. Another reason was the presidential election.
When the news of the affair and the subsequent $130,000 hush payment broke in 2018, Melania was enraged and wanted to leave Trump, which was precisely what Trump feared when he arranged the payment.
According to a source, Trump was terrified that his wife would discover his affair with a porn star. He was aware of some of the possible consequences of his indiscretions and was adamant about keeping it under wraps.
Trump, 76, now claims that he will be arrested after a New York grand jury concludes its hearings on his payments to Daniels.
Trump insists he did nothing wrong and denies ever having an affair with Daniels.
He denies it, but was concerned that his wife would find out about it.
Daniels claimed the rendezvous occurred in a hotel room at a Lake Tahoe casino following a charity golf tournament in 2006.
When news of the relationship broke in 2018, Melania was reportedly so enraged that she left the White House and stayed in a hotel for several days. She then traveled from Washington, DC to Palm Beach, Florida. The couple’s relationship was severely strained, with the former first lady avoiding her husband.
Just four months before the alleged affair, Melania gave birth to their son, Barron.
In 2018, a source told the press that Melania would spend a lot of time away from the White House and would rarely visit Trump’s West Wing office, unlike previous first ladies.
People began to notice that whenever the couple was seen out at events together, Melania appeared distant, almost robotic, and resisted getting close to the former president. During Trump’s presidency, the two barely held hands.
Daniels called her sexual encounter with Trump “the worst 90 seconds of my life.” She and Trump are constantly slamming each other and calling each other derogatory names. He calls her “horse face.”
