Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Ruins DC Superhero Movie at Box Office and Gets Himself and Henry Cavill Fired

The DC Comics universe is reportedly in shambles after their main superheroes, Black Adam, Shazam, and Superman, clashed in an unexpected and mostly unproductive way for the company.

According to a recent report, Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson pressured DC Studios into making some bad creative decisions when he stepped into the role of Black Adam.

The character Shazam, played by Zachary Levi, is a powerful superhero in the DC Comics universe and is the traditional rival to Black Adam, played by the Rock.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods, Levi’s second run at the character, was released last week and did badly at the box office and got really poor reviews as there was no sign of Black Adam in the movie.

Black Adam was not in the movie because Dwayne the Rock Johnson and Henry Cavill, who plays Superman, were fired by DC Studios in December last year, ending Johnson’s plot to become the apex of the DC universe.

The latest Shazam movie performed poorly, only making about $30 million in the opening weekend, below the $53.5 million earned by the first installment in its first week.

Johnson reportedly had a lot to do with the movie’s underwhelming performance.

According to the report, Johnson refused to have Levi’s upcoming movie in a post-credit scene, usually a short snippet that teases about an upcoming movie in the franchise.

Johnson spoiled the movie Shazam by discussing his confrontation with Superman during his Black Adam promotion.

Levi confirmed his rivalry with Johnson on Instagram when he shared the report and said that Johnson tries to portray himself as bigger than the movie, adding that he wanted to make his brand centered in the movie.

When DC Studios began working on Shazam’s origin story, Black Adam was always supposed to star in it, but Johnson wanted his own movie.

Black Adam and Shazam have gone head-to-head in DC Comics several times. The two characters are connected by their superpowers originating from Egyptian and Greek gods.

Black Adam and Superman also have a history, so it was expected that Black Adam would clash with both Superman and Shazam in the future.

The future of the superheroes and replacements for Johnson and Cavill is still unknown.
