Prince Andrew is said to be very upset because his brother Charles the King received the entirety of Queen Elizabeth II’s fortune in her will.
Because of a 1993 United Kingdom agreement that exempts assets moving from one sovereign to another from taxation, King Charles III is the sole beneficiary of their late mother’s wealth. The Queen’s estate is estimated to be worth more than $700 million.
Because it was the most tax-efficient method, the late Queen’s fortune was passed directly to the King. As a result, none of her other children, including Prince Andrew, Prince Edward, and Princess Anne, were named beneficiaries.
According to experts, Prince Andrew should never have expected to receive any of his mother’s money because he knew the law allowed them to avoid the crippling inheritance tax.
For the same reason, when the Queen Mother died, Queen Elizabeth II became the sole beneficiary of her estate.
Because they are working royals, Princess Anne and Prince Edward already receive a substantial stipend from the sovereign grant. Prince Andrew, on the other hand, resigned from his royal duties four years ago, following the Jeffrey Epstein child trafficking scandal.
According to a friend of the prince, Andrew was in despair because he didn’t know King Charles would get everything.
However, a palace insider told the media that the Prince had not been targeted for poor treatment and that the late Queen supported and provided for her children while she was alive.
Prince Andrew will almost certainly have to alter his lifestyle.
According to a palace insider, the late Queen proposed that Andrew move into Frogmore Cottage so that William and Kate, the Prince and Princess of Wales, could move into Andrew’s residence, Royal Lodge, with their three children. The Queen gave Frogmore to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as a wedding gift, but they have recently been evicted.
Andrew’s ability to manage the vast estate will become increasingly difficult after his annual allowance of $300,000 is cut in half in April. According to sources, Andrew is still adamant about staying at the 98-acre Royal Lodge estate.
After Andrew was accused of sexual assault on a minor, Queen Elizabeth stripped him of his honorary military titles, removed his royal patronages, and barred him from using his royal title.
