During his last delivery of the day, after texting his wife and telling her he would be home soon, a food delivery man was viciously murdered.
A Florida man, Oscar Adrian Solis, Jr., aged 30, has been arrested and charged with the murder of an Uber Eats delivery driver, who was found dismembered at Solis’ residence in Holiday, Florida.
Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco confirmed the details of the gruesome crime during a press conference. Solis, who had been released from an Indiana prison earlier this year after serving four years for assault and burglary, is also accused of violating his parole and not registering as a convicted felon. Sheriff Nocco revealed that Solis had connections with the notorious MS-13 gang during his time in Indiana.
According to the investigation, the delivery driver was attacked by Solis while delivering food to his father. Evidence collected at the crime scene included the driver’s car keys and wedding ring, which were found in Solis’ possession. The abandoned delivery vehicle was later located nearby, containing bloodstained towels, a Door Dash bag, and a time card with Solis’ name on it.
Sheriff Nocco referred to the horrifying crime as a “demoniacal act of passion.” Solis, who stands at 6’4″ and weighs 315 pounds, was employed as a security guard at a Florida strip club.
The victim’s wife reported him missing after he didn’t come home after making his Uber Eats deliveries, prompting the investigation. Uber provided information on the victim’s last known location at Solis’ home.
The investigation remains active, and police have not revealed the motive for the murder.
