Tucker Carlson will not go down without a fight and is currently reportedly “preparing for war” after being fired by Fox News last month.
Two weeks after Carlson’s termination from Fox News, the 53-year-old right-wing news host is in the process of trying to break free from his contract with the media giant.
Carlson’s dismissal allegedly came after he sent a controversial text message that said, “It’s not how white men fight,” causing a “crisis” at the network. He is said to be seeking an exit from his contract with Fox to start his own media outlet or seek employment elsewhere, with Rumble and Newsmax reportedly offering more money than the right-wing media giant paid him.
Sources cited by Axios say that Carlson has even met with Twitter head Elon Musk to discuss a potential collaboration.
While Carlson’s contract with the network runs until January 2025, he is reportedly eager to move on and pursue other opportunities.
According to one of Carlson’s friends, the former news host “knows where a lot of bodies are buried and is ready to start drawing a map,” suggesting that he may have insider knowledge that could be valuable in his future endeavors.
Carlson’s lawyer has stated that there is no chance of anyone silencing the ex-TV host or preventing him from speaking to his audience.
Meanwhile, Fox has reportedly suffered a decline in ratings following Carlson’s departure, which came after the network’s $787.5 million defamation lawsuit settlement with Dominion Voting Systems.
Carlson has yet to announce his next career steps. His most recent communication with the outside world was when he posted a video on Twitter addressing his termination. He has not made any other posts since then.
