It seems Prince Andrew might be packing his bags soon if King Charles gets his way, according to recent rumors.
Living in the posh 30-bedroom Royal Lodge with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, since 2002, Andrew was told to leave the $37 million property last month. However, Andrew’s not ready to say goodbye to his home just yet.
Whispers around the palace suggest that Andrew is worried his brother King Charles might cut off the power at the Windsor residence to speed up his departure. Insiders reveal that Andrew fears the family might turn off utilities to persuade him to leave. Word is, Charles is trying to coax Andrew into moving to Frogmore Cottage, previously home to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Once Andrew clears out, the Royal Lodge is said to become the new home for Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children.
Andrew hopes to have a one-on-one chat with his brother to figure things out.
Queen Elizabeth stripped Andrew of his royal and military titles in 2022 due to his connection with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Facing accusations of sexual abuse, Andrew stepped down from his duties in 2019. However, he did attend Charles’ coronation on May 6, decked out in his royal robes and regalia.
Although he was allowed to secretly pose for the official coronation portraits, sources claim his photos are unlikely to be released. Regardless, Andrew was permitted to wear his ceremonial robes during the photo session. Insiders say Andrew wanted the photos taken to ensure an official record of his involvement in his brother’s big day.
