Age is just a number, and 79-year-old Robert De Niro recently announced that he has become a father once again. 

During an interview with ET Canada, the Oscar-winning actor revealed that he now has a total of seven children. De Niro shared this news while discussing parenting and his latest film, “About My Father.” When asked about his six children, he corrected the interviewer and mentioned that he actually has seven, as he had just welcomed a new baby.

However, De Niro did not provide any further details about the recent addition to his family or the identity of the child’s mother.

The beans were spilled by De Niro’s co-star, Kim Cattrall. The mother of the new baby is Tiffany Chen, De Niro’s significant other. Chen is a martial arts instructor and kickboxer. Although she and De Niro met on the set of his film “The Intern,” where she was seen teaching De Niro tai chi, they did not start dating until many years later. Their romance became public in 2021. 

On May 9, De Niro’s representative confirmed the news of his new child. The actor has a total of six children from three different relationships. His first wife, Diahnne Abbott, is the mother of his daughter Drena, 51, and son Raphael, 46. In 1995, he had twins named Julian and Aaron with his former girlfriend Toukie Smith. Additionally, De Niro has a son named Elliot, 25, and a daughter named Helen Grace, 11, both of whom were born during his marriage to Grace Hightower.

For De Niro, it is essential for his children to find their own path in life. He wholeheartedly supports their aspirations, whether they involve acting or any other field, as long as they find happiness in what they do. De Niro motivates them to aim high, take risks, and pursue their true desires.

De Niro is set to star as an embarrassing and eccentric father named Salvo in the upcoming film “About My Father,” which is scheduled to debut on May 26. The movie features “Sex and the City” star Kim Cattrall and comedian Sebastian Maniscalco.
