After nearly a year of house hunting, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have finally secured a new home in the upscale Beverly Hills neighborhood.
The couple paid $60.85 million in cash for the impressive 46,000-square-foot mansion, which is a significant discount from its original $135 million listing price in 2018.
Situated on a spacious five-acre peninsula, the property, known as the ‘Wallingford estate,’ boasts 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms. It has been recently rebuilt and expanded, featuring luxurious amenities such as a 12-car garage, parking for 80 vehicles, and an exceptional indoor sports complex. The couple will have access to a fully equipped gym, basketball and pickleball courts, and a boxing ring. The estate also includes a 5,000-square-foot guest penthouse, a caretaker’s residence, and a two-bedroom guard house.
Other impressive features of the mansion include a hair and nail salon, a home theater, a wine cellar, a whiskey lounge, and sauna and massage rooms.
The outdoor area features a stunning zero-edge pool overlooking the surrounding landscape and two private gated entrances to the property.
The couple was represented by Brett Lawyer, a renowned real estate agent who has previously worked with celebrities like Katy Perry and Madonna.
Moving day was in full swing on Wednesday, May 31, as furniture and belongings were seen being transported to their new abode. This marked the end of a lengthy search for Ben and Jennifer, who had previously dropped out of escrow on three other properties. Their search included a $64 million mansion in Pacific Palisades and a $34.5 million property in the prestigious Rustic Canyon area.
Jennifer had listed her Bel Air property for $42 million, and reports suggest it is currently in escrow with a potential buyer for $39 million. Meanwhile, Ben recently sold his own mansion for approximately $30 million.
Throughout their search, the power couple, often called ‘Bennifer,’ had been renting a luxurious Beverly Hills mansion owned by Australian billionaire James Packer.
