Former First Lady Melania Trump was spotted at Trump Tower in New York City on June 8, appearing unfazed, just before her husband, Donald Trump, faced 37 felony counts related to the alleged mishandling of federal documents at his Mar-a-Lago resort.
Melania, 53, concealed her expression behind sunglasses and carried a Chanel handbag as she entered her New York City home on Thursday afternoon.
Later in the day, Donald Trump, 76, declared on Truth Social that he had been indicted, including charges under the Espionage Act.
Melania’s arrival at Trump Tower occurred less than a month after Donald’s controversial Mother’s Day post against the “Radical Left,” where he omitted her. Regardless of “transactional marriage” speculations, sources intimate that the couple’s bond has strengthened post Donald’s 2024 presidential campaign announcement. Melania, however, has not made any public comment regarding Donald’s recent indictment, which could lead to a life sentence if convicted on all charges.
Donald Trump’s charges involve willingly holding national defense documents, conspiring to obstruct justice, concealing records, hiding a document in a federal investigation, scheming to hide, and making false statements. Melania was conspicuously absent from Donald’s speech at Mar-a-Lago in April, which followed his arraignment related to payoffs to adult film actress Stormy Daniels.
Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, a former aide and friend of Melania, noted that Melania is aware of her husband’s affairs but chooses to remain silent out of dignity. Wolkoff thinks Melania will support her husband, stating her anger, not humiliation, regarding the affairs. Melania has yet to publicly address the recent indictment.
