Tragic events unfolded in El Paso, Texas, as a road rage incident turned fatal, resulting in murder charges for a father and his adult sons.
Marcos Fino Jr., 32, lost his life in the shooting, which occurred on Tuesday, June 6, at around 6 pm, as confirmed by the El Paso Police Department.
According to law enforcement officials, the incident escalated when Fino and 53-year-old Raul Orozco engaged in an argument while driving. Orozco pursued Fino, later contacting his sons, 28-year-old Jose Orozco and 21-year-old Christian Orozco.
The Orozco brothers arrived in a separate vehicle and blocked Fino’s path by positioning their car in front of his. Raul Orozco then used his truck to obstruct Fino’s vehicle from behind. What began as a verbal altercation soon escalated into physical violence, involving the Orozco brothers, Fino, and one of Fino’s passengers.
During the altercation, Jose Orozco allegedly fired a fatal shot at Fino before fleeing the scene alongside his brother and father. One of Fino’s passengers took control of the vehicle and sought help by flagging down a nearby police officer. Despite efforts to save him, Fino succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
Authorities took action, apprehending the Orozcos on the morning of Wednesday, June 7. The trio now faces charges of murder, with Jose Orozco’s bond set at $1 million.
