Actor Jamie Foxx has made his first public appearance in nearly three months, signaling that he is on the road to recovery. The 55-year-old actor was seen smiling and waving at fans while cruising the Chicago River on a boat.
Foxx’s illness and subsequent hospitalization occurred in mid-April while he was filming the movie “Back in Action” alongside Cameron Diaz. His daughter, Corinne, initially broke the news on Instagram, referring to it as a “medical complication,” though further details remain undisclosed.
Prior to his illness, reports circulated about Foxx having a “meltdown” on set, which allegedly led to the firing of several production staff members. An insider claimed that Foxx demanded immediate solutions to problems on set and subsequently dismissed four members of the production team.
While rumors suggested that Foxx had suffered a stroke, his family has not confirmed this. Boxing legend Mike Tyson made the claim, but the actor’s family has not provided any official statement.
Last month co-star John Boyega expressed concern for Foxx’s well-being, stating that no one had heard from him. However, actress Porscha Coleman reassured fans that Foxx is resting and will soon make a comeback.
Foxx’s sudden illness surprised and saddened Diaz, who was working with him on the film. She wanted to offer support but found that his family kept his condition private.
Despite recent phone conversations with friends, sources claim that Foxx is still not fully recovered but is receiving excellent care. According to producer Datari Turner, Foxx is doing well, and recently spoke to the film’s director, Juel Taylor.
Although Foxx’s exact condition remains undisclosed, his appearance in public and ongoing recovery suggest positive progress in his health.
