Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are potentially facing legal action after featuring an image of a YouTuber named Shallon Lester in a documentary series about their lives.
The series depicted that a significant proportion of negative online commentary targeting the pair were traced back to a select few accounts, using Lester’s image to illustrate their point.
Noted for her video commentary on Harry and Meghan’s relationship, Lester recently expressed her dissatisfaction with the use of her photo. In a recent video, she disclosed her plans to take legal steps for defamation, slander, and misrepresentation. Lester argues that the couple seems unwilling to accept public criticism, particularly from those who view Meghan as manipulative. While not revealing specific information about a potential lawsuit, Lester also discussed the controversy regarding Meghan’s Spotify podcast show, “Archetype.”
Podnews.net suggested that parts of the podcast episodes were performed by staff members, with Meghan’s voice and inquiries later added via editing. Bill Simmons, a senior Spotify podcast executive, appeared to validate these claims by labeling the couple as “grifters.”
Jeremy Zimmer, the CEO of United Talent Agency, disparaged Meghan’s abilities during the Cannes Lions advertising festival. He remarked on the podcast’s cancellation, stressing that celebrity status doesn’t automatically equate to talent.
