A six-year-old boy and his great-grandmother were discovered with fatal stab wounds in a San Jose home.
The San Jose Police Department made this unsettling discovery during a routine welfare check near downtown San Jose, California on Friday, August 4. The victims, an adult woman and a young boy, were found with at least one stab wound each.
Both succumbed to their injuries at the scene, as confirmed by attending medical personnel and detailed in an official police communiqué.
Although the victims have yet to be formally identified by law enforcement, family members have named the young boy as Jordan Cam Walker. A GoFundMe page has been established by the family to gather financial support for their funerals.
Jordan, known for his fondness for outdoor pursuits such as swimming, baseball, and basketball, had left an indelible impression on his San Jose community.
Sgt. Steve Aponte of the San Jose Police acknowledged the emotional toll this discovery took on the responding officers. Aponte characterized the incident as “startling and unfortunate” as the investigation proceeds.
The police have refrained from disclosing potential suspects related to the dual homicides, maintaining their focus on the ongoing investigation.
