A man experienced a fatal fall from the Deutsche Bank Center in New York City this past Thursday, August 17. The fall spanned about 750 feet, ending at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel’s marquee in the locale of Billionaire’s Row, Columbus Circle. The man’s body was cut in two upon hitting the marquee, with body parts strewn as far as the opposite street.
The immediate vicinity had debris and glass scattered from the broken marquee. The man was wearing sleepwear during the incident.
Feedback from an employee of the building, who opted for anonymity, speculated that the man might have been one of the building’s inhabitants. The worker mentioned the prospect of the man accessing the roof using the service elevator. The police are working to corroborate these points.
The Deutsche Bank Center boasts upscale apartments with price tags ranging from $5 million up to $19 million. In its history, it has accommodated famous personalities like Jay-Z, Tom Brady, and Joe Ricketts.
