Among the discussed steps is the potential leasing of an apartment within Kensington Palace. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry and Meghan, have expressed interest in personally furnishing this apartment at their own expense, according to individuals familiar with the matter.

Prince Harry, however, has reservations about the possibility of feeling “restricted” within the palace. While this gesture indicates their intention to mend ties, some royal commentators are hesitant about the likelihood of immediate reconciliation. 

Sarah Hewson, a Royal Editor for Sky News Australia, believes that the underlying issues might take time to resolve, hinting that a quick resolution might not be on the horizon.

The Sussexes, after their decision to step back from royal responsibilities, relocated to Montecito, California, post a short stint in Canada. Their activities in the U.S. include an explosive Netflix documentary, a candid Oprah Winfrey interview, and Prince Harry’s telling memoir, “Spare.”

Following the memoir’s publication, the couple vacated Frogmore Cottage in the UK at King Charles’ request, which is reportedly now allocated to Prince Andrew by the King. This development added to the existing family strains. Their UK visits now necessitate staying with acquaintances or in hotels.
