In a sobering discovery on August 18, the Baltimore County Police Department located the bodies of three family members at their Towson, Maryland residence. All three individuals were reportedly found with gunshot wounds.
The deceased were identified as Yogesh H. Nagarajappa, 37, his wife, Prathiba Y. Amarnath, 37, and their young son, Yash Honnal, 6.
Preliminary findings indicate the father, Nagarajappa, was the probable cause of the tragic incident. A comprehensive assessment by the Chief Medical Examiner is in progress to determine the precise motives.
The family’s last known whereabouts were on August 15 and the police had gone to their home for a welfare check.
The Indian Express reported that Nagarajappa, originally from India, had spent nine years in the U.S. Both Nagarajappa and Amarnath held roles as software engineers, with both being respected in their profession.
Following these events, efforts to raise funds for transporting the remains to India are underway through a GoFundMe campaign set up by a family associate. Contributions have already surpassed the $35,000 mark.
