A parked car near Jonathan Jennings School 109 in Indianapolis became the center of attention on Monday morning, August 14, when three deceased men were found inside around 8:15 a.m.
Upon discovery, local law enforcement promptly arrived at the scene. To prevent students from witnessing the scene, the elementary school buses were redirected away from the immediate vicinity.
On Tuesday, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that all three deaths are suspected to be due to drug overdoses.

In addition to the deceased, another man was found alive in the car and was quickly transported to a local hospital. His health status has not been updated.
In response to the incident, Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) issued a statement: “IPS is aware of an incident this morning outside of Jonathan Jennings School 109. A car, containing several deceased individuals and one intoxicated person, was located on the school’s property.”
The ongoing investigation is being handled by the authorities, with the school district emphasizing the safety and well-being of its students.
