On September 11, 2023, Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, and the Canadian musician Grimes have once again captivated global attention.
In a new biography release by Walter Isaacson on September 12, Elon Musk and Grimes, born Claire Boucher, Musk’s former partner, have shared news of their third child’s birth. They’ve named the baby Techno Mechanicus and will affectionately call him “Tau.”
The couple, both highly regarded in their fields, regularly find themselves under the media spotlight. Notably, their unconventional naming choices for their children have stirred much discussion. Their first son, introduced to the world on May 4, 2020, was christened X Æ A-12, later adapted to X Æ A-Xii, and is colloquially known as “X.” Their second child, a daughter, Exa Dark Sideræl, is called “Y”.
With the birth of their third child, the couple’s journey, both individually and together, continues to fascinate the public. Their union and growing family have been the subjects of many conversations.
Separately, they’ve made remarkable strides in their careers. Grimes is celebrated for her distinctive musical contributions, and Musk remains a key figure in technological innovations, particularly in space travel and electric cars.
One might have surmised that after naming their children “X” and “Y”, “Z” would be next in line. But, as history has shown, Musk and Grimes are always full of surprises.
