Recently, the world-famous singer, Sir Elton John, 76, faced a minor setback due to an accident that took place in his home in southern France.

He was taken to Monaco’s Princess Grace Hospital Center, in the department dedicated to orthopedic care, where he underwent a medical assessment on August 27. The following day he was discharged from the hospital.

A statement shared with BBC News elaborated on the situation. It revealed that John had a slip which led to his fall. The decision to admit him to the hospital was precautionary in nature. After thorough medical check-ups, he was deemed fit and was released. The iconic singer is currently at his home, continuing his recovery and is in a healthy state.

For the summer season, Sir Elton, along with his partner David Furnish and their children, chose Nice, France as their residing place. Their choice to stay there came after the completion of Sir Elton’s extensive Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, which concluded in July. Additionally, fans enjoyed his standout performance at the Glastonbury Festival’s notable Pyramid Stage a month earlier.

Emerging in the music scene in 1969, Sir Elton John’s career is marked with an array of celebrated hits like “Your Song” and “Tiny Dancer.” The 2019 film “Rocketman” paid tribute to his rich legacy in music, with Taron Egerton portraying the famed musician.
