A suspected murder-suicide in Allen, Texas, about 30 miles from Dallas, led to the discovery of a family of four deceased in their residence on August 28.

Identified as Farman Sherwani, Layla Sherwani, and their sons, Mateen, 2, and Shaheen, 12, the tragedy occurred not long after the drowning of their four-year-old daughter.

The Allen Police Department, represented by Sergeant Jonathan Maness, highlighted the recent drowning as a potential influencing factor.

Upon being alerted by a concerned neighbor, officers entered the Sherwani household, uncovering the scene.

Following the incident, a prayer vigil was conducted by the Islamic Association of Allen, attended by a significant number of individuals.

The police’s investigation of the deaths remains ongoing.
