On October 15, 2023, a renowned actress known for her iconic roles in popular TV sitcoms passed away at her home at the age of 76. 

Suzanne Somers, best recognized for her role as Chrissy Snow in “Three’s Company,” had been living with breast cancer for over two decades. Diagnosed in her early 50s, she opted for alternative remedies rather than traditional chemotherapy.

By July 2022, she informed the public that her breast cancer had returned. Nonetheless, she continued her battle using both alternative and standard treatments. 

Somers’ entertainment career began with a part in the 1973 film “American Graffiti.” Later, her standout role as Chrissy Snow, which she played from 1977 to 1981, solidified her fame. 

Apart from acting, Somers was also involved in business, wellness, and writing. She authored various health-focused books and was notable for the ThighMaster exercise device.

Besides her professional journey, she championed a chemical-free, organic lifestyle to counter cancer. Despite facing skepticism, she consistently highlighted the significance of considering alternative health approaches.

In her last moments, she was accompanied by her close family. Alan Hamel, her spouse for 46 years, presented her with a handwritten love poem alongside her favorite pink peonies ahead of her upcoming 77th birthday. Unfortunately, she passed away just before the special day. 

Prominent figures have since shared their condolences and memories of Somers online, emphasizing her compassion, skill, and resilience.

Her family has stated there will be a private burial this week. Additionally, a public memorial service is scheduled for next month, offering the public a chance to remember and honor Somers.
