In the wake of Matthew Perry’s untimely death, Kelly Rizzo, the widow of comedian Bob Saget, offered her perspective and comfort to the cast of “Friends.” Speaking to Page Six, Rizzo, 44, conveyed her empathy to the actors of the iconic sitcom.

Rizzo related her experience with the “Full House” cast to the close-knit nature of the “Friends” cast, emphasizing the importance of strong connections within such groups. She counseled the mourning co-stars to cherish and rely on each other during this tough time.

She reflected on the period after her husband’s passing last January, highlighting the crucial role of support from Saget’s co-stars in her healing process. Saget had the role of Danny Tanner, the father of the “Full House” TV family.

Further discussing the bond within the casts of “Full House” and “Friends,” Rizzo likened them to families. She speculated that Perry’s co-stars are finding comfort in each other, as she had with the “Full House” cast.

The entertainment industry was deeply affected by the news of Matthew Perry’s death on October 28, 2023, at the age of 54. Esteemed figures such as George Takei, Nancy Sinatra, and Jason Alexander paid homage to Perry, famous for his portrayal of Chandler Bing in “Friends.”
