Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Toy began his acting career in New York City before moving to Los Angeles. He rose to fame on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” playing a variety of roles that highlighted his ability to portray sinister characters. Notably, Toy played the silent Gentleman in “Buffy’s” fourth season, the skin-eating demon Gnarl, and a Turok-Han vampire.
His role in “Angel” as the ancient vampire, The Prince of Lies, in the show’s fifth season, further solidified his status in the horror and fantasy genre. Toy’s career spanned beyond these shows, including appearances in “Goodnight Burbank” and “The Bay,” and his last film role in “Average Joe” (2019).
