Throughout his career, he consistently advocated for increased representation of Black actors in the entertainment sector.
Even in his later years, White remained involved in the fashion scene. At 79, he emerged from retirement in 2023 to participate in a campaign for Dolce & Gabbana, underscoring his enduring impact and appeal in fashion.
Jeffrey Banks, a longtime friend and fashion designer, announced White’s passing, describing him as “the perfect gentleman and a great ambassador” for his brand. This sentiment reflects the widespread respect and admiration White earned throughout his career.
