Mike Heslin, known for his roles in “Lioness,” and “The Holiday Proposal Plan,” passed away on July 2, 2024, at the age of 30, due to an unexpected cardiac event.

Scotty Dynamo, Heslin’s spouse, revealed the sad news on Instagram and paid tribute to his late partner’s vibrant life and altruistic nature.

The sudden demise of Heslin, who was in excellent health according to his physicians, left many in shock. Heslin fought for his life for a week in the hospital, but the cause of the cardiac event remained undetermined. Dynamo, in his reflections on the loss, stated, “Michael was brilliant, selfless, talented, and a real-life guardian angel,” who stood by him during his own battle with cancer.

Dynamo and Heslin, who tied the knot in November 2023, were in the early stages of starting a family when tragedy struck. Dynamo shared the couple’s unfulfilled dreams and his deep sorrow.

Professionally, Heslin made his debut in 2014 in the Showtime series “7 Deadly Sins” and then went on to build a diverse acting career. He gained recognition for his role in the Paramount+ series “Lioness,” where he shared the screen with Zoe Saldana and Nicole Kidman. He also wrote, directed, and starred in the 2020 mockumentary series “The Influencers,” which earned a Queerty Award nomination.

Heslin’s kindness was evident in his decision to be an organ donor, a move that has already saved the lives of four individuals. Dynamo shared that this decision provided him some consolation, adding, “It brings me peace to know that, through your wish to be a donor, you have given the gift of life to four different families.”

A GoFundMe page was established to help with Heslin’s medical and funeral costs, raising over $58,000. The success of this campaign is a testament to the respect and affection the community held for the late actor.
