Sylvester Stallone’s Explosive Trump Remarks

At the America First Policy Conference held at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, on November 14, 2024, actor Sylvester Stallone made comparisons between President-elect Donald Trump and the first U.S. president, George Washington. Stallone, aged 78, was the one to introduce Trump at this event.

Stallone, during his introduction, portrayed Trump as a “mythical character” with an unmatched record of achievements. “Nobody in the world could have pulled off what he pulled off,” said Stallone.

Stallone, during his speech, made a reference to the opening scene of “Rocky,” where the camera transitions from a mural of Jesus to Rocky Balboa in a boxing ring, with the word ‘Resurrection’ in the background. “At that moment, he was a chosen person, and that’s how I began the journey. Something’s gonna happen. This man is gonna go through a metamorphosis and change lives,” he told the audience.

Stallone drew similarities between Trump’s election campaign and the American Revolution, suggesting that Trump, like George Washington who unintentionally transformed the world through the defense of his nation, would be a world-changing figure. “We got the second George Washington,” he proclaimed.

The event was attended by many well-known individuals, including Tulsi Gabbard, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his wife, actress Cheryl Hines, Tucker Carlson, Elon Musk, Donald Trump Jr., and Kimberly Guilfoyle. During the event, Trump revealed his plan to nominate North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum for the post of Secretary of the Interior.

Stallone, born on July 6, 1946, in Hell’s Kitchen, New York City, has had an illustrious career as an actor, screenwriter, and director. His career breakthrough came with the 1976 film “Rocky,” in which he was the writer and star. The film received 10 Academy Award nominations and won three, including Best Picture. Stallone further solidified his reputation as a leading action star with the 1982 film “First Blood,” introducing the character of John Rambo. Stallone’s career includes a Golden Globe Award and multiple Academy Award nominations.

Stallone and Trump share a longstanding relationship, with Stallone playing a crucial role in Trump’s pardon of the late boxing legend Jack Johnson.

Trump recently appointed Stallone, along with actors Mel Gibson and Jon Voight, as special ambassadors to Hollywood. The appointments aim to boost business and rejuvenate the entertainment industry. Voight acknowledged the gradual decline of Hollywood over the years and expressed optimism that the incoming president would help breathe new life into the industry.
