Will Jordan, an officer with the Rocky Hill Police Department in Connecticut, appeared on the October 11, 2024 episode of “Wheel of Fortune.” Jordan faced a puzzle that seemed straightforward to viewers but led to an unexpected response that has since gone viral online.

Jordan made a memorable and humorous error. During the game, with the puzzle board displaying the partially revealed phrase “_ _ _ E _ O_RSE _ F A RO_N _ OF A_ _ _A_SE,” he confidently stated, “I’d like to buy a U.” 

This addition filled in the blanks to read “_ _ _ E _ OURSE _ F A ROUND OF A_ _ _ AUSE.” Building on this, he attempted to solve the puzzle with the guess, “Treat yourself a round of sausage.” The correct answer was, “Give yourself a round of applause.

Jordan’s unexpected guess momentarily took aback the audience and fellow contestants. Host Ryan Seacrest responded with a lighthearted comment, suggesting that Jordan’s answer “sounded better than just clapping.”

Despite the blunder, Jordan maintained a good-natured demeanor throughout the episode.
