“Baywatch” star Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff, a notable actress and former spouse of David Hasselhoff, also a star of “Baywatch,” was discovered dead in her home in Hollywood Hills, California, on March 5, 2025. She was 62.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office revealed that Bach-Hasselhoff had ended her life by a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. No suicide note was discovered at the scene.
Family members who had lost contact with the deceased for several days reportedly went to check on her, as per multiple sources. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed their presence at the scene around 10 p.m. on that Wednesday night.
David Hasselhoff, 72, expressed deep sorrow in a statement. He expressed gratitude for the love and support received during this difficult period and requested privacy as the family mourns and navigates this challenging time.
A neighbor reported that one of Bach-Hasselhoff’s daughters, believed to be 32-year-old Hayley Hasselhoff, found her mother’s body and had a highly emotional reaction on the street. The neighbor, Hiromi Osiecki, reported hearing her screaming and crying.
Bach-Hasselhoff, born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, started her acting career in the 1970s. She had a significant role in Francis Ford Coppola’s “Rumble Fish,” and subsequently appeared in various television shows, including “The Young and the Restless,” “Cheers,” “The Fall Guy,” “T.J. Hooker,” “Superboy,” and “Viper.”
She is possibly most recognized for her role as Kaye Morgan on “Baywatch,” where she made appearances in 14 episodes over 10 years, along with other various characters on the same show.
She met David Hasselhoff on the set of “Knight Rider” in 1985 during a guest appearance. They married in December 1989 following Hasselhoff’s divorce from Catherine Hickland, his first wife. During their 17-year marriage, they had two daughters, Taylor Ann, 34, and Hayley Amber, 32.
Their divorce in 2006 was marked with conflict, with Bach-Hasselhoff accusing Hasselhoff of domestic abuse, a claim he denied. Disputes over spousal support characterized their divorce proceedings, which lasted until 2017. Following the divorce, each parent received custody of one daughter.
Her agent, Sharon Kelly, fondly remembered Bach-Hasselhoff as a “force of nature” and a loving mother to her two daughters. Kelly expressed her shock and her sympathies to the family.
