Tiger Woods’ New Flame: Trump Jr’s Ex-Wife

Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump have confirmed their relationship, sharing romantic photos on social media.

“Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together,” Woods stated in an Instagram post that Vanessa Trump also shared on her stories. The announcement on Sunday, March 23, included images of the couple embracing.

The golf legend, 49, and the former spouse of Donald Trump Jr., 47, have reportedly been seeing each other for several months, but only recently chose to make their relationship public. Woods, who usually maintains privacy about his personal life, addressed ongoing rumors through his Instagram post.

Photos depict Woods and Trump standing together, as well as relaxing in a hammock, with her arm on his chest.

The relationship reportedly developed over time. A source familiar with the Trump family noted that Donald Trump Jr. is “cool with” his ex-wife’s new relationship. Vanessa Trump was married to Trump Jr. for 12 years before their divorce in 2018.

Tiger and Vanessa have been seen at various golf events, including the Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines in San Diego, California, where Tiger presented the winner’s trophy. Their children’s shared interest in golf has been a connecting factor for the couple.

Kai Trump, 17, daughter of Vanessa and Donald Trump Jr., goes to the same school as Woods’ two children and has committed to golf at the University of Miami in 2026. She recently competed with Woods’ son Charlie, 16, at the Junior Invitational in South Carolina. Charlie has gained recognition in junior golf, participating in tournaments with his father.

Days before their relationship announcement, Woods was honored at the White House by President Donald Trump during a Black History Month reception. President Trump awarded Woods the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2019.

Vanessa shares five children with Donald Trump Jr. – Kai, Donald III, Tristan, Spencer, and Chloe. Before meeting Donald Jr., Vanessa had a modeling career.

This is Woods’ first public relationship since breaking up with Erica Herman in 2022. That separation was complicated by lawsuits filed by Herman against Woods and his trust, which she later withdrew. Woods was married to Elin Nordegren from 2004 to 2010, and they have two children – Sam, 17, and Charlie, 16.

Woods’ announcement coincides with a challenging period in his professional life. On March 11, he announced he ruptured his left Achilles tendon and underwent surgery. This injury may keep him from participating in the Masters and may possibly keep him out for the rest of the year.

This social media approach mirrors Woods’ strategy in 2013, when he and skier Lindsey Vonn both posted photos to confirm their relationship. Woods explained then that the decision aimed to reduce paparazzi interest and protect his children’s privacy.

Ivanka Trump, formerly Vanessa’s sister-in-law, publicly supported the couple. On Woods’ Instagram post, Ivanka commented, “So happy for you both!”
