A woman, aged 45, met a tragic end on Monday afternoon when she fell from the Park Plaza Hotel located near Waterloo Station in central London, England. The incident led to a significant emergency response and temporary road closures in the vicinity.

This unfortunate event took place at around 4:05 pm on March 3, 2025, on Addington Street, home to the luxury hotel on the southern edge of Westminster Bridge. The police were alerted due to reports of an individual falling from a height in Westminster.

The emergency response was swift, with three London Ambulance Service medical vehicles and a half-dozen police cars arriving soon after the incident was reported. A tent was set up at the site, and forensic services were noted working on the southern side of Westminster Bridge.

The Metropolitan Police have confirmed they are in the process of notifying the woman’s next of kin. They have also stated that while investigations are ongoing, the death is not being considered suspicious.

The occurrence led to considerable disruption to the central London traffic, with vehicles queuing behind the cordoned-off area. Public transportation was also impacted, with buses having to reroute their usual pathways while the emergency services managed the situation.

The Park Plaza is an upscale hotel located conveniently near one of London’s busiest transport hubs. It stands at the southern end of Westminster Bridge, offering views of the River Thames and various iconic London landmarks.

A similar event recently took place in the Bromley-by-Bow area, where a man in his 30s died after falling from a block of flats. Emergency services were alerted to the complex on Gillender Street, around 2.20 pm on Friday, January 3.

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service were dispatched to the scene of the March 3rd incident and worked alongside police officers. Despite their efforts, the woman could not be revived. The medical response included specialized equipment that was brought to the scene in the three ambulance service vehicles.

The Metropolitan Police have not released further details about the woman’s identity, as is standard procedure until the next of kin have been informed. The full circumstances of the incident remain under investigation, though officials have emphasized the non-suspicious nature of the death.
