President Trump’s Typo-Filled Implosion Goes Viral

President Donald Trump posted a message on Truth Social late Sunday night, November 30, 2025, which initially contained several typographical errors. The 79-year-old president deleted the post shortly after, corrected the mistakes, and reposted it. The original version attracted significant attention on social media due to its spelling and grammatical errors before it was removed.

The original post by Trump started with “Ther are laws that effect our nation,” incorrectly spelling “there” as “ther” and using “effect” instead of “affect.” The message mentioned Title 18, Chapter 115, Section 2387 of the United States Code, ending with the directive: “DO WHAT HAS TO BE DONE!!!”

After removing the initial post, Trump returned to Truth Social with a revised version. This time, he corrected “there” and replaced “effect” with “impact,” stating: “There are laws that impact our nation.” The rest of the message remained unchanged primarily, still concluding with the same capitalized call to action.

In his message, the president appeared to reference Kirk Lippold and cited the federal statute. The post seemed directed at political opponents Trump has accused of trying to influence military personnel.

This late-night post comes amid ongoing tensions between Trump and six Democratic lawmakers he calls the “Seditious Six.” In mid-November, Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona and five other Democratic Congress members released a video reminding military and intelligence personnel of their constitutional duty to reject unlawful orders. Trump criticized this video, describing their actions as “seditious” and “punishable by death.”

Pete Hegseth intensified the situation by suggesting that Kelly be recalled to active military service for court-martial proceedings because of his appearance in the video. A court-martial would involve Kelly being tried in a military court for alleged violations of military law.

Kelly responded to these threats during an appearance on The Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC. He dismissed the threats as “almost comical” and “absurd,” challenging the administration’s legal reasoning. The senator from Arizona described the situation as an attempt at intimidation rather than a genuine legal issue.

Concerning Trump’s suggestion that his actions could be punishable by death, Kelly remained resolute, asserting he would not be silenced. He emphasized his commitment to his duties, the Constitution, and holding the administration accountable.

Trump’s activities on Truth Social earlier that Sunday were not limited to military loyalty issues. When questioned by reporters aboard Air Force One about using an offensive slur against Tim Walz during Thanksgiving, Trump declined to apologize and reiterated his statements.

The president’s pattern of late-night social media posts has garnered attention from both supporters and critics. Social media platforms enable political figures to communicate directly with the public without traditional media filters. Still, this directness also means that errors and controversial remarks can become public before staff review. Throughout his political career, Trump’s approach to social media has been characterized by spontaneous reactions to news events and political developments at any hour.

This incident underscores ongoing discussions about presidential communication methods and social media’s role in governance. While some see direct communication as transparent, others express concerns about the tone and accuracy of official statements made via personal social media accounts. The deletion and reposting of messages also raise questions about the preservation of presidential records in the digital era.
