Monica Lewinsky is Stunning in Red at 52

Monica Lewinsky drew plenty of attention at the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday night, March 15, 2026, making a rare red-carpet appearance in an eye-catching Oscar de la Renta gown that showed the former Clinton White House intern and anti-bullying campaigner only seems to get more striking with age.

The 52-year-old podcaster arrived at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in a red-orange strapless gown with a structured corset, a deep neckline, and a nipped-in waist. Styled by Samantha Traina, the dress featured a playful central cutout that exposed a glimpse of cleavage with nude mesh accents. The vivid vermillion shade—fans called it her boldest look in years—was a notable shift from her usual black choices at the prestigious event.

Lewinsky finished the glamorous ensemble with sparkling diamond pieces, including a standout cuff, and wore her hair in loose waves down her back. Makeup artist Megan Lombardi opted for a soft-glam approach with a bright red-orange lip and rosy cheeks to harmonize with the lively, spring-toned gown.

The appearance was another standout moment for the brunette, who has gone through a striking transformation in recent years. Last year she attended the Vanity Fair Oscar Party as well, choosing a markedly different outfit—a black Stella McCartney midi with a column silhouette and a sheer mesh panel at the neckline.

This year’s Vanity Fair event was the first overseen by new Global Editorial Director Mark Guiducci, who relocated the famed party from its longtime Beverly Hills setting to LACMA’s expansive courtyard. The guest roster remained star-filled, including Best Actor winner Michael B. Jordan, Jessie Buckley, Nicole Kidman, and Dua Lipa.

Lewinsky’s red-carpet outings coincide with her ongoing work as a successful podcaster and anti-bullying advocate. She currently hosts “Reclaiming With Monica Lewinsky,” and has reshaped her public image since the widely publicized 1998 affair with then-president Bill Clinton.

After stepping away from the spotlight amid intense media scrutiny, Lewinsky re-emerged in 2014 with a powerful Vanity Fair piece titled “Shame and Survival,” where she revisited her experiences and critiqued the culture of public humiliation. She followed that with the influential TED Talk “The Price of Shame,” which has been viewed millions of times and helped establish her as a prominent voice against cyberbullying.

In recent years, Lewinsky has led several award-recognized anti-bullying initiatives, including the Emmy-nominated 2017 project “In Real Life” and 2023’s “Stand Up to Yourself,” which addressed the mental health effects of self-directed bullying. Her advocacy has earned her roles as a founding board member of the Childhood Resilience Foundation and an ambassador for The Diana Award’s Anti-Bullying Program in the UK.

In 2021 she served as a producer on “Impeachment: American Crime Story,” the FX series that presented her perspective on the infamous scandal, representing another effort to reclaim her story. In a recent conversation on “The Jamie Kern Lima Show,” Lewinsky likened her ordeal during the scandal to the Salem Witch Trials, describing it as “not a physical burning, but a public burning, but an emotional burning.”

On a 2023 appearance on the “Today” show, Lewinsky reflected on turning 50, saying that “turning 40 was horrible and turning 50 was very empowering.”

Lewinsky has also used her voice on civic matters. In February 2024 she fronted Reformation’s “You’ve Got the Power” initiative, aimed at raising voter registration awareness before the 2024 election. The campaign was her first fashion shoot and generated more than $2 million in media exposure within 48 hours.

The activist’s recent appearance at the star-studded Oscars after-party highlights her steady presence in Hollywood circles, even as she keeps a relatively lower profile than many other celebrities. Her sartorial choices continue to impress, reflecting polished taste and greater confidence. While she has often favored black gowns—wearing them in 2025, 2024, 2020, 2019, and 2017—she has occasionally opted for other hues, such as white with black accents in 2023 and red in 2022.

By choosing a striking red for her 2026 appearance, Lewinsky made a confident statement that contrasted with the refined outfit she wore the previous year. The vivid color added a fresh and playful edge to an otherwise classic evening look, underscoring that at 52, she remains a formidable presence in fashion.

Lewinsky’s attendance at these high-profile gatherings mirrors her evolution from a person defined by scandal to a respected advocate and media figure. Her path from former White House intern to podcaster and activist continues to spark conversations about resilience, redemption, and the power of reclaiming one’s narrative in the public sphere.
