Stormy Daniels, the former adult film actress accused of receiving hush money from former US President Donald Trump, responded to his recent arrest on criminal charges with a tweet.

When Trump entered the New York City courtroom, Daniels tweeted, “It’s definitely more fun being under my sexy man than under arrest.”

Following his court appearance in New York City, the former president returned to his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, where he delivered an emotional speech on election interference on Tuesday evening, April 4. Trump categorically denies having had a sexual relationship with Daniels. She claims it happened shortly after Trump’s son Barron was born.

Several other famous people tweeted in support of Trump’s arrest, with many thanking Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg for prosecuting the former president.

Trump pleaded not guilty to 34 felonies in connection with payments made to Daniels and Karen McDougal, a former Playboy model, to conceal their alleged affairs with him. The unsealed indictment accuses Trump of falsifying payment records in order to keep his extramarital affairs from jeopardizing his 2016 presidential campaign.

Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, allegedly paid Daniels $130,000, while the National Enquirer paid McDougal $150,000. Cohen had been sentenced to a year in prison and two years in home confinement for his role in the scheme.

Trump was not handcuffed or photographed for a mugshot upon his arrival, and he was not required to post bail under New York law because he was charged with non-violent crimes.

Trump has been a vocal critic of Daniels, calling her names and making fun of her. The charges against him are the result of a lengthy investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney’s office, and if he is found guilty, he could face prison time.

Despite the gravity of the allegations, Daniels used the occasion to respond to Trump’s legal woes with a defiant and humorous message, demonstrating that she has not been broken by the years of scrutiny and insults she has endured.
