A horrible murder-suicide that ended at a McDonald’s restaurant in Moultrie, South Georgia, left four people dead, including two family members of the suspect and a fast-food worker.

Security camera footage at the McDonald’s captured the incident on Thursday, May 4, revealing that the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Kentavious White, lured his manager, Amia Smith, 41, to the door before fatally shooting her. White then took his own life inside the restaurant.

Further investigation led police to two neighboring homes less than two miles away, where two female family members of White were also found dead from multiple gunshot wounds. The victims were identified as White’s mother, Susie Arnold, aged 50, and grandmother, Hilda Marshall, aged 74.

The Moultrie police sought the assistance of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to lead the ongoing investigation into the murder-suicide, a common practice for major crimes in Georgia.

Jerry Goodwin, a neighbor living next door to White and his family, revealed that his wife had heard gunshots before 1 am on Thursday. Goodwin also mentioned a previous incident earlier in the week when the suspect had fired a gun outside while shouting, and the Moultrie police had responded at that time. However, when the latest incident occurred, it appeared that the police did not respond immediately. Goodwin stated that law enforcement and an ambulance arrived just before 6 am.

The previous incident involving White occurred on Tuesday. According to police investigator Nathan Cato, as reported by The Moultrie Observer, White was involved in a gunfight with a man in his neighborhood during his lunch break on Tuesday. Fortunately, no one was injured during the altercation. Meanwhile, the Associated Press reported that a former McDonald’s employee, 30-year-old Rahiem Rashad Kinsey of Moultrie, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and possessing a gun while committing a crime for shooting at White during the incident. Kinsey was detained in Moultrie and remained in jail on Friday.
