On the morning of Thursday, August 31, a head-on collision occurred on Route 32, near its connection with I-95 in Maryland. A Greyhound bus and an SUV were involved. One individual was declared dead and 18 others were injured.
Based on the statements from the police in Howard County, Maryland, the Greyhound bus was transporting 38 passengers in the eastward direction. However, a Buick Enclave SUV, which was driving in the opposite direction, ended up in the eastbound lane and collided with the bus around 3:24 am.
The SUV’s male driver could not be saved and was confirmed dead at the scene. The list of injured individuals includes the bus’s driver, and they were all conveyed to hospitals in the vicinity for care. The sustained injuries are all reportedly non-critical in nature.
The place of the accident is a key transport link between Washington, D.C. and Baltimore. Due to the collision, the morning traffic on the eastbound section of Route 32 at the I-95 intersection was halted. Officials are in the process of examining the incident more closely.
