Tragedy struck a Las Vegas family on Sunday, July 9.

Their toddler, Jaiangelis Stevenson, aged two, accidentally discharged a firearm leading to his death on Sunday evening, while at his caregiver’s home.

The event took place in a bedroom of an apartment located near Nellis Air Force Base, at approximately 6:30 pm. It was here that the young boy, affectionately known as “Blue” due to his captivating eye color, met his tragic end.

Following the incident, emergency services responded swiftly, transporting Jaiangelis to the University Medical Center. Despite the tireless efforts of the medical team, the young life was pronounced lost.

Currently, the incident is being thoroughly examined by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. They are looking into potential elements of neglect or abuse that could have contributed to this tragic occurrence.
